So, in keeping with the theme of giving back…I'd like to bring attention to someone very close to me. My sister, Diane Linn. Today she received an award for excellence in leadership given by the Center for Volunteer and NonProfit Leadership in Marin County.  This award and $5,000 (for the recipients organization) was designed to be given to an executive director who has demonstrated excellence in leadership and whose vision has inspired meaningful and lasting change benefiting the organization and community.

Fortunately, there are people who have chosen to commit their lives to meaningful work that benefits us all.  Quietly and tirelessly, they trudge forward, keeping their faith alive by reveling in their passion, yet sometimes hanging on for dear life, financially, or just enduring the exhaustion of being in contrast to the momentum of convention. They have the courage not to compromise on what is important to them, even if the cost is high.

Guess what the big news is? It’s another agency launch. Wait, where are you going….don’t click away! I know what you’re thinking, “seen it, heard it, can’t reinvent the wheel, aren’t there enough agencies already? To this we nod our heads and reply with a resounding ‘YES’!
